When someone dies, there are certain things that you need to be aware of. A physician must issue a death certificate, the deceased must either be buried or cremated, the bank account of the deceased will be frozen (this also applies to joint accounts) and access to the deceased’s digital mailbox will be blocked.
The funeral can either be a church or a civil service and depending on for example the deceased’s age, family circumstances and assets, it may be possible to apply for funeral benefits.
